10 Oct Be The Church Sunday October 15, 2018
WE Friends –
As we look forward to BE the Church Sunday this Sunday, October, I wanted to share some final details regarding our schedule, what to bring, scheduled projects, etc.
What is our schedule?
We will begin gathering at 9am Sunday morning. From 9 – 9:30am we will enjoy a time of fellowship. Beginning at 9:30am we will share in a time of worship and then around 10am we will separate into work teams. We anticipate the service projects to last no more than 3-4 hours.
What kind of work will we be doing?
We have a number of projects including the collecting of supplies for our relief effort to some of the most heavily affected areas of North Carolina in and around Jacksonville.
What should we bring?
For our fellowship time from 9 – 9:30am, please bring your favorite breakfast finger-food to share. We’ll have coffee, water, milk and juice as well.
For our community service, bring a pair of gloves, a water bottle and any tools that you have to assist with debris cleanup (rakes, clippers, chainsaws, etc.). If you enjoying baking, please bring some cookies or brownies for the children to deliver to nursing homes.
What should we wear?
We have new “BE the Church” tshirts in powder blue and orange for children and adults for you to wear. Many people have already picked up theirs (in fact, we are already out of XLs and XXLs…but we can have some more screenprinted if there is a need). Most importantly, dress comfortably.
Let me know if you have any questions. BE the Church Sunday is always a great time for making new friends and making a difference in the community.
See you Sunday at 9
