Fake Dictionary, Dictionary definition of the word mentor.

Sermon Snap Shot June 17, 2018

But the line in the story that most stood out for me comes shortly before Elijah’s ascension. The Mentor asks the Protégé, “What can I do for you before I leave…name anything?” to which Elisha replies: “Your life repeated in my life. I want to be a holy man like you” (The Message).
Wow. I want to be a holy man like you, I want to be a holy woman like you. Moms and dads – think for a second. Grandparents, aunts and uncles – give this some thought. Imagine your child, your grandchild, your niece or nephew or even the child who lives down the street looking at you and saying with an earnest yearning, “I want to be just like you…a holy man…a holy woman.”
If Jesus were to come back today and see the state of the Church and World, I believe he would say, “Go and Mentor.” Live your life, with God’s help, in such a way that the young people who know you, the young people who interact with you, will see God’s goodness and grace within you…God’s wisdom and compassion within you…so much so that they will let you know through both their words and actions, “I want to be like you. A holy man, a holy woman. Can you help?”

From Sunday June 17 message based on 2 Kings 2:1:15, “Go and Mentor”
