Sermon Snap Shot July 22, 2018

Jesus is a seed-slinging savior who slings seed everywhere because he knows that in the end there will be a great harvest. He isn’t concerned about wasting seed because there is plenty of love, grace, hope and joy to go around. He calls us to be extravagant sowers like him, sharing his love with everyone and letting him take care of the harvest.

We don’t need to be afraid of being laughed at or ignored. We don’t have to worry about failure. We can sling seeds of love and grace in small, simple ways: leaving a note of encouragement for our waitress, handing out flowers, telling clerks or salespeople that Jesus loves them, sending a thank you note, paying for a stranger’s coffee, and countless other ways.

Sow the seed. Trust the promise.
